The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ukum I (Ngenev) constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Andrew Aondofa Chila, has called on youths in Ukum local government area of the state to embrace peace and support ongoing efforts to restore security and stability to the area.
Chila stated this during the burial of Zaki Jonathan Ihungwa Kwaghlaade at Tse Amachigh, Ugbaam, Ukum Local Government Area, appealed to the youths to consider the plight of their elderly mothers, fathers and other family members and reject violence and embrace peace, reconciliation.
While appealing to armed groups operating in the area to lay down arms, Chila urged stakeholders to unite behind efforts aimed at restoring peace, “rebuilding affected communities and creating an environment where residents can safely return to their ancestral homes” he added.
