Suleiman Re-elected FCT NYCN Chairman

Youth representatives and affiliate youths organisations across all the area councils of FCT have re-elected Comrade Ango Abdullahi Suleiman as chairman to pilot the affairs of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN), FCT chapter for the next four years.

The election took place in the Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT at the weekend.

Suleiman promised to unite all youths and affiliate youth bodies in the FCT.

Suleiman, who extended the hand of fellowship to other contestants and stakeholders, said he would work for the betterment of youths and the entire people of FCT.

He said he would work with political leaders, traditional rulers, the FCDA and the government to address some of the numerous challenges facing the youth, especially human development index and limited political space.

Suleiman promised youths inclusion for both Indigenes and residents of Abuja.

“I will build on the successes that we recorded in my first tenure and I will improve on them especially, the training and sensitization, empowerment for the purpose of getting our youths being above their peers in the quest of developing the capital territory of our dream,” Suleiman said.

The representative of the Youth Department of the Social Development Secretariat of the FCDA, Mr Young Kpininwa said the government has been working closely with youths in the development of the FCT and promised more synergy.

He charged the youth to be good ambassadors in whatever they do and commended them for the peaceful election.
