Following complaints of incessant harassments of motorists by revenue taskforce and other traffic agents in Suleja, the chairman of Suleja local government area of Niger State, Hon Isyaku Bawa Naibi, has warned against the trend.
He therefore ordered an end to every form of harassment of motorists by the revenue taskforce and traffic vanguard in Suleja.
The warning came against the backdrop of several complaints by traders and transport unions against traffic vanguard operating under the Niger State Transport Management Agency.
Naibi’s warning was contained in a press release signed by the council spokesman, Malam Haruna Kaninko, in Suleja.
The chairman cautioned the revenue taskforce and traffic vanguard to treat all motorists coming into Suleja with respect and without any form of molestation, stressing that the council would not condone maltreatment of motorists coming into Suleja for business.
The chairman promised to always ensure that those coming to Suleja are protected and provided with a conducive atmosphere for trading.
