The Sultan of Sokoto and Leader of Muslim Ummah of Nigeria, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has expressed his condolences on the passing of Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, Nigeria’s renowned Islamic preacher and missioner, many decades, for Kano State Branch of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
Sheikh Bellow died in the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, and has since been buried in his home town of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, South West Nigeria.
The Sultan described the late Islamic cleric as a good conscience and character preacher. However, his passing came with a shock, especially at a time when his kind of Islamic preaching is required for building the nation through moral reconstruction and spiritual guidance, “We have no option but to accept the demise of the great Islamic preacher and scholar as a natural call by Allah.”
The Sultan’s media team, in a statement in Ibadan on Sunday, quoted the religious leader as saying, “The absence of Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello is a loss to the Muslim Ummah of Nigeria, especially the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria and Oyo State Muslim community.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds as acts of worship and repose his soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus, Amiin,” the Sultan prayed.
