Super Falcons and Atletico Madrid Femenino forward Rasheedat Ajibade has floated a new foundation to empower and ginger youths in Nigeria.
The foundation simply known as “Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation” is a non-profit organization dedicated to empower young people in the country.
The former Avaldnes of Norway star, aims to use the foundation to address issues like mentorship, scholarships, training, amongst other concerns.
The foundation has seven main objectives which are; empowerment through sports, advocating for gender equality, raising awareness, fostering partnerships, developing young talent and supporting education.
Ajibade revealed the establishment of the foundation in a post on her X handle.
“I believe that through sports, education, and advocacy, we can create a brighter future for boys and girls in Nigeria.
“It has been a long time coming, and I am very happy to finally announce and launch the establishment of the Rasheedat Ajibade foundation. The Rasheedat Ajibade foundation is my heartfelt commitment to giving back to my community and country.”
The 23 year old has made six appearances in the Primera Division this season.
She is in the Super Falcons camp as they prepare to face Ethiopia in the reverse fixture of their 2024 Olympic Games second round qualifier against Ethiopia.
Recall that he scored Super Falcons’ only goal in the first leg to end the encounter at 1-1.
Falcons are looking forward to the second leg on October 31st and have indeed vowed to settle for nothing than resounding victory at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
