SWAN, FCT Chapter Congratulates Okonkwo For Emerging Secretary General of SWAN

The leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN FCT Chapter has congratulated its immediate past Secretary, Ikenna Victor Okonkwo for his emergence as SWAN National Secretary.

The overwhelming victory followed the association’s election at the Triennial Delegate Congress in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he returned unopposed.

In a congratulatory message conveyed via a press statement on Thursday July 13, 2023 in Abuja, FCT SWAN Chairman, Mr. Ndubueze Chidoka, said, Mr. Okonkwo deserves the victory in view of his experience, numerous contributions to sports reportage, as well as competence while serving as the Secretary of the association at the FCT Chapter.

“Ikenna Okonkwo worked under me as Secretary, I know his capacity. I know he will bring his experience to bear in taking our association to greater heights.

According to Mr.Chidoka “In the past years, while working under me, he had proved and developed himself for higher opportunities.

The statement further urged stakeholders in the Sports sector to support Mr. Okonkwo in his endeavour to serve the association for the overall interest of all.
