Edeh made this statement when the Executive Members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, FCT Chapter alongside National Secretary of the Associaton paid him a congratulatory visit.

Edeh, who marked his birthday a couple of days ago, said “for FCT SWAN, it is my family, the umbilical cord of my emergence as Benue State FA is tied around FCT SWAN, am grateful the way you have projected me, my club and my programmes. Honestly I will not take it for granted. How do we deepen the success we had over the years. There is need to unite, I want to see the bond of brotherhood moving forward before the end of the year”

“For the National SWAN, there is a lot we can do together, more so that the association is drawn back home, now it is in the north”

Barr. Edeh further charged the National body to work hard to overcome whatever challenges they have, adding that he believes the coming on board that has Ikenna Okonkwo as Secretary General will do a lot since he already knows the problem confronting the association, and urged them to create a cluster of activities that will make them stand out among others.

“The National body will need to work hard, and the moment you overcome the challenges you have, you become an enigma”

“What Ikenna’s coming onboard will do for FCT is the fact that he knows the problems.

“We need to begin to create a cluster of activities that will make the association to stand out. I urge everyone to see how they can contribute their own quota, and you should know that the welfare of your members are critical that you must take seriously” he concluded.

Newly elected National General Secretary of SWAN, Mr. Ikenna Okonkwo used the opportunity to present his certificate of return to the SWAN Patron and solicited his support in moving SWAN forward.

“You sent me and I went and this is the result. Am happy to show you the certificate of return. Thank you very much for your support and prayers. Your continues support will help us break new grounds”

FCT SWAN Chairman, Ndubueze Chidoka congratulated Barr. Edeh on his election and on the occasion of birthday and urged the astute football administrator to continue to uphold professional legacy in the business of football in the country.

‘We are here for three things, one is to present to you the certificate of return of Mr. Okonkwo, to say thank you and celebrate your birthday, and to congratulate you on your emergence as the new Benue State FA”

“We want to encourage you to keep it up as FCT Swan patron, we have an unfinished business, having you is having the majority, and we know you are breaking grounds and it is for our good”

Mr. Chidoka gave assurance that the association will continue to partner him for being steadfast and as one of the Patrons of SWAN.
