T2 has been announced as the Digital Technology Partner for the 2025 Carnival Calabar, unveiling its new mobile application, MyT2, as the official digital companion for the festival.
In a statement, T2 chief executive officer, Obafemi Banigbe, said the launch of MyT2 reflects the company’s shift toward customer-centric innovation that aligns with how Nigerians work, live and connect. He said users increasingly expect technology that simplifies daily activities, strengthens relationships and supports both productivity and leisure.
With its debut at Carnival Calabar, the MyT2 app introduces “Festive Mode,” a feature designed to enhance participation at large cultural events. “Through the tool, attendees can access real-time schedules, ticket details, curated experiences and vendor listings, offering a unified digital guide for the festival for the first time. Outside the festival, MyT2 provides a range of services for T2 subscribers, including the ability to buy, borrow or share airtime and data, track spending and manage communications. Users can also create or join “T2 Hives” to share resources within families, student groups, work teams or friends.”
Banigbe said the partnership with Carnival Calabar aligns with T2’s mission to use technology to promote culture and community engagement.
