The NCBC basketball team, proudly sponsored by T2, has been crowned champions of the Bosun Tijani Foundation Youth Basketball Tournament, recently held at Ijeja Stadium, Abeokuta.

The tournament, organised by the Bosun Tijani Foundation in collaboration with the Ogun State Government and backed by several sponsors including T2, featured 12 basketball teams from across the nation. The final was attended by notable figures including the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo; the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani; the Chief of Staff to the Ogun State Governor, Lere Olayinka; and the Ogun State Commissioner for Sports, Wasiu Isiaka.

NCBC secured a series of victories on their path to the title, triumphing over Team Vision 57–13 in the preliminary round, besting the Warlords 32–28 in the semi-finals, and defeating Elevate 43–20. In the final match, the team overcame Ilupjeu Raiders 66–52 to lift the championship trophy.

The trophy was presented to the victorious team by the Alake of Egbaland alongside Dr. Tijani.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tijani stated that the tournament aimed to foster youth engagement, inclusion, and positive activities. He also acknowledged the Ogun State Government’s support for sports development under Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Seni Ogunkola, Vice President, Brands and Communication at T2, also commented, explaining that the company adopted NCBC due to the team’s talent, discipline, and teamwork. He noted that the sponsorship aligns with T2’s dedication to youth development.
The organisers highlighted that the tournament underscored the crucial role of sports, mentorship, and private-sector collaboration in supporting youth development in Nigeria.
