Tambuwal’s Wife Distributes VSF Palliatives To Vulnerable Households

Wife of the Sokoto State governor and founder, Mariya Tambuwal Development Initiative, MTDI, Dr Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has reaffirmed her commitment to assist the vulnerable households in the society.

 

She stated this at the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable households donated by Victims Support Fund in Sokoto.

 

Hajiya Tambuwal who was represented by the special adviser on SOCHEMA, Dr Amamata Yusuf said, the governor’s wife has through her pet organisation, Mariya Tambuwal Development Initiative (MTDI) contributed immensely towards empowering the less privileged members of the society.
She also praised the donor, Victims Support Fund, saying the NGO has among other things been supporting education, health and agriculture through provision of farming tools, hospital equipment and other reading and instructional materials.
In their separate remarks, council chairmen of Shagari, Yabo and Rabah local governments while thanking the Initiative for the gesture, maintained that it will go a long way in alleviating the sufferings being faced by vulnerable members of the society.
During the event, the district head of Gagi, Alhaji Sani Umar Jabbi, spoke on the significance of charitable acts especially, to widows, orphans and people with special needs.
He expressed delight with the gesture and called on other well-meaning individuals and public office holders to emulate the charitable deed.
