A member of the House of Representatives for Takum, Ussa and Donga of Taraba State, Hon. Mark Bako Useni, has distributed 110 laptops to students and other professionals in his constituency to boost Information Communication Technology (ICT).
He also presented 500 bundles of zinc and 850 wrappers to widows and 1,500 bags of rice to vulnerable persons in the area.
During the distribution of the items in Takum, the headquarters of Takum local government area of the state, he said the distribution of the items was in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s plan to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria.
He also stated that the laptops donated to the students were aimed at improving the ICT within the area in order to burst technology among the locals.
“I am aware of the pains the people of my federal constituency are going through in terms of insecurity, the federal government is also aware of the security challenges being faced by the people of the area, particularly Ussah local government area.
“I present the items in my little way to cushion the huge challenges against the people of this constituency, why I make this donation, I want to assure the people of the federal government’s commitment to ensure that the people go back to their farming activities soon.
“We at the National Assembly are doing our best to stop the killings, destruction of properties and displacement of the people of the area, God willing, peace will soon return to this area while all farmers will return to their usual farming activities,” Useni stated.
