Family, friends, and colleagues gathered in Arochukwu village, Abia State, to receive the body of  actor, Alex Ekubo, ahead of his burial.

The body of the late actor arrived in his hometown in a convoy, making a brief stop at the palace of the Eze Arochukwu before moving to his family compound.

Many residents and Nollywood celebrities walked in a procession through the village, wearing t-shirts bearing the late actor’s face and holding his photographs to honor his memory. Among the notable personalities present were his close friend IK Ogbonna, Ini Edo, Omoni Oboli, and Yomi Casual, who traveled down to pay their last respects.

The 40 year old actor passed away last month after a private battle with kidney cancer. He is survived by his wife, parents, and siblings.
