In an effort to promote digital inclusion in the state, a Wukari-based technology-driven organisation, Gloxad IT Company, has empowered 88 youths with advanced digital skills, enabling them to explore new opportunities and improve their living standards.

The innovative programme, being the first of its kind, provided beneficiaries with laptops, essential kits, and digital skills, which places them at the edge of the growing opportunities to drive the state’s economy and technology industry.

Speaking at the first-ever Tech Boot Camp in Wukar, representatives of Gloxad IT Company, Mr Abu Fari, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to building a more inclusive digital future that supports young people in becoming self-reliant.

Mr Fari said the company is also sponsoring the training of 49 other youths on advanced digital skills to improve their livelihood.

“We believe in helping others rise. Supporting our youth not only empowers them to earn a living but also strengthens our communities.

“For example, a yam seller in Wukari can now market and sell products to customers around the world through digital platforms,” he explained.

Mr Fari said that the initiative arose from a careful comparative analysis of local challenges and global trends, which revealed that digital literacy is key to sustainable development and job creation.

He appealed to well-to-do individuals to emulate the initiative by investing in youth empowerment and skills development.

“When you help people rise, you make the community stronger,” the statement added.

Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the company for the life-changing opportunity, saying that they had long desired to acquire digital skills but lacked the financial capacity.

“We had been hearing about such training programmes, but couldn’t afford them. Gloxad IT Company made it possible for us to participate for free.
