A delegation of speakers and organisers from TEDxMinna has visited Maizube Farms to spotlight the role of private-sector enterprise in driving agricultural innovation and economic development in Niger State.
The visit, which formed part of the official TEDxMinna programme, was curated by Amrah Aliyu and Sule Lapai and hosted by Mustapha Abubakar.
It was designed to link thought leadership with practical, on-the-ground examples of enterprise-led impact in the agricultural sector.
During a tour of the facility, participants engaged in detailed discussions on agribusiness modernisation, sustainability and the future of Nigeria’s food systems.
Conversations centred on how commercial-scale agriculture can enhance food security, create employment opportunities and contribute to long-term economic growth, particularly in agrarian states such as Niger.
The exchange also highlighted the importance of collaboration among innovators, investors and local institutions in scaling agricultural productivity and strengthening value chains.
Speakers noted that well-structured private investments could play a critical role in complementing public-sector efforts to transform the country’s agricultural landscape.
Curators of TEDxMinna said the visit reflected the platform’s commitment to moving beyond ideas to action by showcasing enterprises with measurable impact. They expressed appreciation to the management of Maizube Farms for hosting the delegation and for its contributions to advancing Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
