Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has hinted that she is no longer interested in navigating the dating scene.
Tems made the remark during a TikTok livestream on Monday, telling viewers that she had “left the streets” after becoming frustrated with men who, in her words, waste her time.
“I don’t like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don’t have that problem anymore. I have left the streets; I wouldn’t even say I was ever on the streets,” she said.
The singer did not provide further details about what prompted the declaration or indicate whether it was connected to a new relationship.
Her comment has nevertheless sparked speculation among fans, particularly because Tems has generally kept her private life away from the spotlight.
In an earlier interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Tems spoke about her experiences with men who approached her romantically. She said some of them appeared more interested in her physical appearance than in forming a meaningful relationship.
The singer had expressed a preference for genuine connections rather than relationships driven primarily by physical attraction.
