A credible source said among those killed was a former local government caretaker chairperson, Dauda Mai Iyali, when the terrorists attacked the town on Sunday.

The source said the terrorist invaded the area at about 8:00 pm, shooting sporadically at the residents, killing about nine persons and abducting many others.

The state police command’s spokesperson, Abubakar Sadik, who confirmed the incident, said five people were killed and five others abducted in the attack.

He said the police were trying to rescue those abducted.
