It was gathered that the terrorists who hid in the tree captured him and seized his rifle before removing his uniform, killed him and left him with boxers.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, in a bid to make ends meet, more and more Police officers in Bama are taking to farming to complement their job.

“The farming endeavour by the local police officers has turned out to be a huge risk of late as terrorists now lie in wait to attack them with the aim of carting away their uniforms and rifles.

“The attack on Inspector Luka is the second in a month of such attack on police officers in the area. Another personnel of the Nigeria Police Force was similarly killed by the terrorists while working in his farm earlier in the month,” Makama said.
