Olofingboyegun, who was the director of the department of research and statistics in TESCOM was declared missing after he left the office for undisclosed reasons 10 days ago.
A family source who does want his name mentioned, said Olofingboyegun was recently promoted to level 16 and was posted from Irele local government area to Akure, the state capital.
The patriarch of the Olofingboyegun family, Prince Adetoye Olofingboyegun, described the deceased as a gentleman who would not have any issue with anybody not to talk of involving in any deals that may cost him his life.
He said the only help the security agencies could do for the family is to fish out the killers of their breadwinner.
He, however, called on the government to see that the killers of Gbenga did not go unpunished to serve as a deterrent to others in the future.
Also, the widow of the deceased, Mrs Modupe Olofingboyegun said it was difficult to believe that her husband was dead because he did not have a quarrel with anybody to warrant his being killed.
