HEBREWS 10:16-17,22-23; ISAIAH 59:19-21
Hebrews 10:16-17,22-23
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Isaiah 59:19-21
19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
OPENING REMARK
Everybody, praise the Lord! This is your day! The power of God is coming upon your life. He has seen your determination and faithfulness, and commitment, and because of that, double, triple miracle upon you tonight in Jesus name!
INTRODUCTION
May God bless everyone of you tonight in Jesus name. We are coming to a covenant with God, and the topic, as we round up and conclude everything for this time is THE COVENANT OF PERMANENT FREEDOM, NOW AND EVER.
Hebrews 10:16. Here is the Lord Himself saying He wants to make a Covenant with us. He said He would put His laws into our hearts and minds, and He will take away every sin from everyone, and the consequences of sin that have piled up will be taken away. It is just like the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. They come together, live, eat and fellowship together after exchanging vows until death do them part.
But as for the covenant between us and God, it is until death joins us with Him in eternity. All the blessings, benefits and goodness will remain with us here until death joins us with Him. We are looking at three points in this message:
- COMMITMENT TO THE COVENANT OF RECIPROCAL FAITHFULNESS
(Genesis 28:15; Ruth 1:15; Hebrews 13:5; 2 Kings 2:2,4,6,9-14; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
The word, reciprocal means the faithfulness from the side of God coming to you, and your faithfulness flowing towards Him.
God is faithful and His promises are yes and Amen. His power comes upon your life in every way, in every area of your life every time, and at every point of need, and He says that faithfulness will continue flowing to you until He has fulfilled all that He promised you. And in reciprocating, you will remember Him, read His word, pray to Him and surrender to Him with every area of your life committed to Him.
Genesis 28:15. In every situation you find yourself at home, and away from home, He said He is with you. God Almighty was speaking to Jacob here, and all who are justified by faith, those who come to Him by faith. He gives us the assurance that He is with you at every point of duty, wherever you go to do what He has ordained you to do, He is with you and will go with you. He will not leave or forsake you.
He is the Healer and will heal you, and His healing will not leave you. He is the Deliverer, and His deliverance will not leave you. As your Provider, He will not leave you and His provision will remain with you forever. As He said, I will not leave you, you too will say you will not leave Him. God will not leave you, and you will not leave Him.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15. The covenant between husband and wife is glued together by love. Same for us and our Saviour, love is the connecting cord between us. He gives us the privilege to ask and we shall receive. Imagine how a couple receive easily from themselves, but the covenant between us and Jesus is greater and more powerful. He has died for us, so we also die to everything He doesn’t like. We die to sin, transgressions and corruption of the world.
It is a two-way thing, He does everything you want for you, and you will also do everything He desires for Him.
- CANCELLATION OF THE CURSE WITH REDEMPTIVE FREEDOM
(Numbers 23:19-24; Deuteronomy 23:5; Proverbs 26:2,4-5; Galatians 3:12-14; Mark 11:13-14, 20-24)
Any curse from the world, traditionalists, or enemies are canceled. God is not a man, and cannot lie or change His mind. He said He will not leave, or forsake you, He promised to bless you, He will not change His mind about every good thing He wants to do for you. He is not feeble or fickle like men. He fulfills and brings to pass all He promised. One of the promises He made was that He will not leave or forsake you in the hands of the wicked.
He said He will bless you, and remove every curse from you and everyone who will depend on, and focus his faith on Him. He has given us the blessing of salvation, healing, deliverance and fullness of the gospel.
“He has not beheld iniquity from Jacob…” Looking at all that God has done, you will show gratitude by removing your hands from every form of sin. No curse can touch you anymore. In Christ is liberty and freedom, but don’t soil or dirty your hands with anything sinful and evil.
vs 22. Surely, there is no enchantment against the just. No divination against them too.
Proverbs 26:2. “… the curse causeless shall not come”. Look at Jesus dying on the Cross, and the curses were there because we caused them. But as the Cross of Christ came, we came to Him in repentance, and we moved to the other side, the right side of Calvary where there is no more curse. Therefore, no curse in your life from then on. Come to Christ and all curses are canceled.
- CONTINUING WITH CHRIST IN A RIGHTEOUS FELLOWSHIP
(Acts 2:40-43; John 8:31-32; 1 John 2:24-25; 1:3-7; Ephesians 5:11-14,25-27,30)
Now that you are born again, you are the daughter, and son of God. Because of the timeless blessing you carry, you are happy and satisfied. Save yourself from this wicked, cruel and corrupt generation. You have responded to the call of salvation, and given yourself to Him, you have gladly received Him, you will be totally free from all evil and sinful practices. Then you come into righteous fellowship with Him.
In the Acts of the Apostles, as people came to the Lord, some people counted them and recorded the number and names of all who were saved. So, all that we are doing in this Crusade are biblical. After this, the new converts continued with the Lord. So, if brethren come to visit you, you will gladly receive them, and gladly come together to fellowship with them. Don’t say you have your own religion or religious leaders, you must continue with the Lord.
As you continue with the people of God, signs and wonders will continue to happen in your life. God will clear every problem from your way, and the blessing and miracle you have received will remain and continue in your life.
Bow your head and pray to the Lord. Promise God that there is no looking back, but you will remain with Him to the end.
