Women are the givers of life and the carers that every little one turns to when they first enter the world, but who cares for them? The sad reality is that millions of women in Africa never get to talk to a doctor or medical expert when they need one. We’re about to discover how a single mission is breaking down the barriers that stop millions of men and women alike from receiving much-needed care. This is a story that begins in America and quickly takes us back to our roots.

The opening chapter
Omo Lois Oisamoje is a professionally certified and greatly experienced pharmacist in the US with a passion for her work. Her experiences as a mother have influenced the creation of DoctorOnTap LLC — a breakthrough telemedicine service — where she has been pivotal as cofounder from day one.

Central to the way she now views the world is her role as a mother — a role which is the
only thing that surpasses her career efforts in importance:
“I have always believed that as a woman, I have a unique viewpoint and experience of the world. Being able to access healthcare as and when needed while raising my little ones and pursuing a time-intensive career is something I cannot imagine life without.”

It’s this focus on opening up opportunities to the working class professional who the ticking clock never aligns with the health needs that is at the centre of the story Omo has sat down to share with us.

A key theme emerges

One of the biggest, most noticeable challenges facing working-class Nigerians right now is one of balance. Long hours at work, endless childcare, and the stress that the two clashing inevitably creates will have a negative impact on personal health sooner rather than later.

Having a constant list of things to juggle will exhaust anyone, and the impact is magnified ten-fold when healthcare isn’t available. Whether it is birth control, issues with fertility, NCD or just overall health and wellness, the health of working class professionals are suffering while working.

DoctorOnTap LLC can act as the telemedicine platform that removes so many of these issues. By offering virtual doctor consultations, a range of home nursing services, and  even online prescriptions and delivery, it can significantly lighten the load. An expansion into the world of home testing offers even more choice and flexibility. The word that describes all of the above is a powerful one: Holistic.

A holistic story continues

DoctorOnTap LLC exists to reshape the lives of hardworking Africans who have been pulled in different directions for generations. Our online doctor consultations are designed to make healthcare more accessible than ever before, while also reducing the workload.

We know from experience that by removing the friction and barriers that get in the way, we can help everyone get the help they need. Holistic healthcare puts people back in control of their own quality of life by allowing them to seek help with the click of a button. Simple problems are caught early, addressed quickly, and often prevented from progressing. With so many chronic issues in the healthcare space right now, providing a gateway anyone can walk through without delay has never mattered more. This is our mission and we want you to become a part of it in your own personal way.

Final thoughts

Omo Lois Oisamoje’s mission from the day she became cofounder has been to make healthcare truly accessible in Africa. Click here {https://doctorontap.com.ng} to learn more about DoctorOnTap.
