Thugs Raze 7 PDP Vehicles In Cross River

Seven vehicles belonging to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members have been burnt down by  thugs suspected to have been sponsored by opposition party on Friday in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River, where the APC governorship candidate hails from.

An eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity stated that the incident occured at Okut-Ikang/Akpap area  of Odukpani local government area of the state.

“At about 11:45pm on Friday, seven PDP vehicles including four buses and three SUVs were burnt down by unidentified thugs. One woman was also shot in the belly at Ikot Effiong Otop. Some policemen were disarmed and weapons taken away.”

LEADERSHIP gathered that the vehicle belonged to the director of security of PDP campaign organization in the state, Mr. Bobby Ekpenyong, as well as the state vice chairman (South) of the party.

Reacting to the incident, PDP governorship candidate, Senator Sandy Onor described the incident as unfortunate and barbaric.

The Cross River State  Police PRO, SP  Irene Ugbo, said the command was yet to receive any official complaint on the incident.
