In addition, Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan has been named Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) for an initial four-year term, effective from September 2, 2025.

The SGF’s office stated that these appointments reflected President Tinubu’s resolve to reposition critical sectors of the economy and enhance institutional performance.

The President urged the appointees to bring their expertise to bear in driving reforms and advancing the mandates of their respective agencies.

“These appointments underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening key sectors and institutions in Nigeria,” the statement added.
