Tinubu Moves Sarkin Adar To Head NEITI, Picks Shagari As NIWA Chair

President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment and appointment of officials in two strategic agencies of the Federal Government.

According to a statement by the director of information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Segun Imohiosen, Hon. Musa Sarkin Adar has been redeployed from his position as chairman, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), to the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) while Mukhtar Shehu Shagari has been appointed to replace Hon. Musa Sarkin Adar.

“Both the redeployment and appointment take immediate effect.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urges the newly appointed and redeployed officials to be patriotic and to bring their wealth of experience to bear in strengthening transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery within their respective agencies,” Onanuga added.
