President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday, formally ushering in a new leadership for the federal bureaucracy.
Enitan was sworn in one week after President Tinubu announced his appointment as the successor to Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
The Presidency announced Enitan’s appointment on August 19, 2026, with his assumption of office scheduled to take effect from August 27.
The new Head of Service and his predecessor had earlier been received by President Tinubu at the State House on Friday, August 21, as part of preparations for a seamless transition in the leadership of the federal civil service.
With Thursday’s swearing-in, the transition in the leadership of the federal civil service has been formally completed.
