Tinubu To Commission Projects During UNILORIN’s 39th Convocation

University of Ilorin has put together a grand programme of activities for the week of its upcoming 39th convocation, an official said yesterday.

The director of corporate affairs of the institution, Mr Kunle Akogun, disclosed in a statement in Ilorin.
“On Oct. 22, the university’s Visitor, President Bola Tinubu, is expected to commission some newly-completed projects in the institution,” he stated.

Akogun disclosed that the programme would begin on Oct. 18 with Chief Lateef Fagbemi, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, delivering the institution’s 2024 Convocation Lecture.

“The ceremonies will formally begin with a news conference by the Vice-Chancellor on Oct. 17, to be followed by the convocation lecture which has the topic ‘Nurturing Democratic Values and Education for the Future of Nigeria’,” he said. (NAN)
