A group, Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement (RHGM) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, citing his administration’s structural reforms as the foundation for sustainable growth.

The group’s national coordinator, Ambassador Isaac Chigozie Udeh, at a press conference in Abuja, described the endorsement as a “milestone” in RHGM’s nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Udeh said RHGM was formed to rally grassroots support for Tinubu, promote civic responsibility, and ensure government achievements reach rural and underserved communities.

He highlighted key reforms since May 29, 2023, including the removal of fuel subsidy and unification of the foreign exchange system, describing them as “decisive measures” to restore fiscal discipline and rebuild investor confidence.

He noted that these reforms, though painful in the short term, have improved macroeconomic stability, reduced fiscal pressures, and strengthened foreign exchange reserves.

He also pointed to Nigeria’s repayment of $4.61 billion in IMF debt and a reduction in debt service obligations as steps that have restored the country’s global financial credibility.

“President Tinubu has done so much especially on Youth-focused initiatives such as skills development, enterprise support for micro, small and medium enterprises, and empowerment schemes, as well as education.

“RHGM passed a vote of confidence on Tinubu, commending his “courageous and visionary leadership” and pledging full support for his re-election and that of the APC in 2027.” Udeh stated.

Also, the group’s national youth leader, Dr. Uko Udo Nna, and its deputy national women leader, Fatima Yahaya Emilugi, reaffirmed the commitment of youth and women to grassroots mobilisation, civic engagement, and voter registration.

They pledged that their collective efforts will secure a decisive victory for the Renewed Hope Agenda in 2027.
