Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and member representing Wase Federal Constituency, Ahmed Idris Wase, has expressed support for the economic reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying they are intended to address the country’s economic and security challenges.

Wase also commented on projects being executed by the Plateau State Government under Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

In a statement  in Abuja, the lawmaker said the Tinubu administration had introduced a number of economic and security measures which, according to him, were aimed at tackling longstanding national challenges.

He said that despite ongoing economic hardship and security concerns in parts of the country, the federal government had continued to roll out policies designed to stabilise the economy and improve living conditions.

According to Wase, the administration’s reforms should be assessed based on their objectives and outcomes in addressing issues affecting the country.

Commenting on developments in Plateau State, he said the Mutfwang administration had undertaken projects in sectors including infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, education and agriculture.

Among the projects he referenced were road construction and urban renewal initiatives, the Metro Bus transport scheme operating within the Jos-Bukuru corridor, upgrades at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital, renovation of schools and rehabilitation of some rural roads.
