Tompolo Donates Furniture To Nigeria Maritime Varsity

High Chief Government Ekpemukpolor a.k.a Tompolo has donated 458 single-seater writing desks worth millions of naira to the Nigeria Maritime University, (NMU), Okerenkoko, Warri South-West local government area of Delta State.

The donation is to enable the institution to compete with other world class universities.

Making the donation to the institution on his behalf, the executive secretary of Tompolo Foundation, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo stated that it is to assist the institution to cope with the seating challenge being faced by cadets of the school.

“Tompolo is a strategic partner of the NMU putting measures in place to enable the institution to compete well with other world class universities,” he said.

According to him, the “Tompolo Foundation is presenting 458 single desks worth millions of naira to the University” and thanked the staff for cooperating with the management of the University.

Responding, the vice chancellor of the NMU, Okerenkoko, Prof. Emmanuel Adigio commended Tompolo for the donation saying that he has always come handy in solving the problems in the school.

He said Tompolo bought a lot of the chairs in the school and revealed that a structure will soon be completed by him in the institution.

Adigio who disclosed that the relevant government agencies have duly accredited all 13 programmes of the university expressed joy that the pioneer graduates of the institution are currently observing their mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme across the country.
