The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) has expanded its scope to the city of Brampton, in Ontario, Canada.

Hence, the maiden edition of the Brampton International Film Festival (BINFF) is poised to hold October 3 -5, 2024.

The journey to BINFF started in 2021, with a simple phone call expressing the city’s interest to partner with TINFF. The call led to proposal presentation by the TINFF delegates to Brampton’s mayor, Mr Patrick Brown, and his council members in 2023, which later received the approval of Brampton’s Economic Development team.

Under the guidance of the Manager of Tourism, Brampton city, and approval of Mayor Brown BINFF has announced its inaugural edition.

It will be recalled that TINFF recently made a milestone as the first Nigerian & African festival to attain the accreditation from Telefilm Canada and Canadian Screen Awards (CSA) Qualifying Film Festival. The latter (CSA) is a Canada’s equivalent of the Oscars.
