Tottenham In Talks With Man City Over Double Swoop For Savinho, Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are negotiating with Manchester City over a potential double deal for forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush, sources have told BBC Sport.

While discussions are progressing, no agreement has been reached.

Spurs’ interest in Brazilian winger Savinho, 22, dates to 2025, but he made only seven Premier League starts last season and now seeks an exit after joining City for £30m in 2024.

Egyptian forward Marmoush, 27, fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola in 2025-26, scoring eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions following his £59m move from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025.

City’s valuation is unclear, though the club expects a significant profit on both players.

Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi, who has already spent £185m on midfielders Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali this summer, prioritises attacking reinforcements after his side finished 17th with just 48 goals last season.

Spurs also retain interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, but it is uncertain if they can fund that deal alongside moves for the City pair.

City have sold several players this summer, including Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and James Trafford.

Tottenham open their Premier League campaign at Brentford on Saturday, while City host Bournemouth on Sunday.
