Manchester United have identified some ‘unsellable’ players in their squad as the January transfer window approaches.
Manchester United are currently sitting 13th in the Premier League table amid a forgettable campaign.
Erik ten Hag was sacked midway through the campaign and replaced with Ruben Amorim.
Amorim would want the club’s backing to enable him bolster his squad in the upcoming transfer window.
The Telegraph (via Sport Bible) is reporting that the Portuguese might only be permitted to initiate a limited rebuild at Old Trafford.
He would be required to sell some players to generate the cash to buy new ones.
And now, Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg is saying that six players have been deemed untouchable.
They are Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro and Andre Onana.
Mazraoui, Yoro and De Ligt arrived at Old Trafford this summer.
Plettenberg added that two to three unnamed players in the squad are considered unsellable.
This essentially means that any other member of the squad is deemed dispensable.
