A press release signed by TRICentre Team Lead, Prince Charles Dickson PhD over the weekend, said that the move is aimed at fostering collaboration, promoting transparency, and advancing democratic values.

Prince Dickson explained that transparency and accountability in governance are key priorities of the Office of Civic Engagement hence the office will enhance transparency in decision-making processes, fostering a sense of ownership and trust among citizens.

“This inclusive approach will enable citizens to actively participate in shaping the future of their communities and hold government institutions accountable”.

Similarly, the office will focus on disseminating information and fostering public education and awareness through workshops, public forums, and educational campaigns whilst empowering citizens with the knowledge and understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and the functioning of government.
