In a vibrant celebration of diversity and unity, FIFA has unveiled the official mascots for the first-ever FIFA World Cup™ to be co-hosted by three nations.

Representing Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the mascots—Maple™ the Moose, Zayu™ the Jaguar, and Clutch™ the Bald Eagle—have been thoughtfully created to embody the rich cultures and spirited heritage of their respective countries.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his enthusiasm for the newly introduced trio, stating, “The 26 team has just got bigger – and more fun! Maple, Zayu, and Clutch are full of joy, energy and the spirit of togetherness, just like the FIFA World Cup itself.” He added that the mascots will help foster an incredible atmosphere, bringing communities together across North America and beyond.

These colourful characters won’t just be fan-favourites but will also play a pivotal role in an extensive licensing programme. They will be featured in the upcoming FIFA Heroes video game, launching next year, marking the first time FIFA competition mascots will be playable. The game, developed by ENVER in partnership with Solace, promises to be a fast-paced, arcade-style football experience, allowing players to build teams with FIFA World Cup™ mascots, iconic football legends, and beloved characters from popular culture.

In addition to the digital world, Maple, Zayu, and Clutch will sprinkle their charm across physical merchandise, with fans able to purchase clothing and souvenirs at FIFAStore.com.

Each mascot represents not only their nation’s football spirit but also its rich cultural tapestry. Maple the Moose, an artist and goalkeeper, embodies Canada’s creativity and resilience, while Zayu the Jaguar, representing Mexico, showcases agility and ingenuity, celebrating the country’s vibrant traditions. Clutch the Bald Eagle, a symbol of the United States, is depicted as an adventurous spirit, uniting people through the love of sport.
