The feat was achieved when the troops in collaboration with Hybrid Force and Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) stormed the terrorists’ camp in Bula Daloje general area of Bama local government area in a daring raid operation on August 17, 2024.

Intelligence sources according to Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region, said that the troops’ incursion was met by an ambush staged by the insurgents en route to their enclave which resulted in a heavy gun battle.

The troops however, successfully repelled the attack, killing the terrorists and forcing others to withdraw and recovering two AK-47 rifles and a mobile phone.

Unfortunately, one Hybrid Force personnel sustained gunshot wounds and later died.
