The Special Forces Troops of the Joint Task Force in the North-West, Operation HADARIN DAJI, under the command of the General Officer Commanding (GOC)  8 Division Nigerian Army, have again rescued another 15 kidnap victims in Zamfara State.

The victims were rescued on Monday, September 25, 2023, in Kayan Boggo village of Bukkuyum local government area of the State.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, the troops immediately mobilised and established a blocking position at a possible route suspected to be used by the bandits.

He said, “Contact was made and unspecified numbers of the bandits were naturalised, forcing them to flee and abandoning the kidnap victims.
