Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong is closing in on a return to action after his injury layoff.
Troost-Ekong underwent surgery in February for an injury he sustained at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The centre-back was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the competition.
The 30-year-old revealed he has started light training and physical exercises via his Instagram post as he displayed determination and hard work working out on the grass.
Troost-Ekong is expected to return to action before the end of the season.
He is also expected to be available for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin in June.
