The foundation also donated medical supplies to Oba Salami Primary Health Centre, in Lagos.

Speaking to journalists, the President, Eko Akete Houston, Texas, Prince Hakeem Bombata, affirmed that the  gesture was borne out of fge hike in tuition for tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

According to him, the hike in tuition fee put pressure on individuals, groups, and corporate bodies to help provide succour to indigent students who have shown exemplary records in their academics.

He stated further that the charity organization sees there exists an urgent need in the education and health sector, hence, they had to extend their humanitarian act to provide for the people and make sure the primary health centre has medical supplies that will cater for the needs of the people in the community.

Bombata added that part of the goals of the charity organization includes impacting the lives of the downtrodden in society by identifying communities that need intervention.

“We know the government cannot do it all, here is a PPP project, a collaboration to lift the people and also provide medical supplies to add to the pool knowing the shortage of supply been a challenge, these medical supplies will save lives and bring succour to the primary health centre in this community as well,”  he said.

On his part, the pioneer President of the Eko Akete Organization, Oba Adeshina Adeniyi, Oba of Igbobi Sabe, expressed gratitude to members of the organization for the laudable act while urging the students to carry on distinguishing themselves in their academics.
