Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Kaduna Network Centre has honoured Governor Uba Sani with the Best Performing Governor Award in recognition of his commitment to restoring peace, strengthening security and promoting inclusive leadership.
The governor was represented at the event by the commissioner for Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, who received the award on his behalf during the station’s 2025 Customers and Awards Night held in Kaduna.
In his remarks, the commissioner appreciated NTA Kaduna Network Centre for the recognition.
Maiyaki said Governor Sani’s inclusive leadership model is delivering significant and measurable gains across the state.
Among the achievements the commissioner cited were the reopening of over 500,000 hectares of farmland, revival of major markets in Birnin Gwari, Giwa and Chikun, the construction and rehabilitation of more than 750km of roads, and the distribution of 900 trucks of fertiliser to over 200,000 farmers.
Maiyaki also noted that schools, health facilities and farmlands previously shut due to insecurity have resumed operations, demonstrating the tangible impact of the governor’s peace model.
Earlier, NTA zonal director, Ishaq Abbas, commended Governor Sani for stabilising the state and lauded the innovations of the NTA director-general, which have enhanced the station’s operations and public engagement.
