UCL: Buruk Praises Osimhen’s Pivotal Role In Galatasaray’s Juventus Victory

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has lauded Victor Osimhen for his significant contribution to the club’s triumph over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

The Istanbul giants secured their place in the Round of 16 after a thrilling 7-5 aggregate win against the Italian side. Osimhen was instrumental, providing two assists in the first leg and scoring a crucial goal in the return fixture.

Following Wednesday night’s encounter, the Nigeria international was deservedly named Man of the Match. Buruk highlighted the striker as one of the key figures who helped Galatasaray progress to the next stage of the competition.

“I told Victor Osimhen to stay calm, that the opportunity would come. And indeed, that opportunity came, he scored, and became one of the players who changed the course of the match,” Buruk stated on the club’s official website.

This marks Galatasaray’s first appearance in the Champions League Round of 16 since the 2013/14 season.
