The UKOMU Igala Organization, a foremost socio-cultural body committed to the unity and progress of the Igala nation, has announced the inauguration of its National Executive Council (NEC) scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025.
The ceremony which will take place in Abuja is expected to draw dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the Igala community from within Nigeria and the diaspora.
According to the organization, the NEC inauguration signals a new era of purposeful leadership, with a focus on cultural identity, youth empowerment, community development, and advocacy for the socio-economic advancement of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Michael Idachaba, described the inauguration as “a call to service,” assuring that the incoming leadership would be anchored on inclusiveness and accountability. Also speaking, Chief J.S. Okutepa, SAN, who chairs the Inauguration Committee, stressed that the NEC would serve as “a rallying point for unity, cultural renaissance, and empowerment of Igala people at home and abroad.”
The UKOMU Igala Organization extended an open invitation to all Igala sons and daughters, friends of the community, and the general public to participate in what it described as a landmark event.
