A statement issued by the organisation in Abuja and signed by Alamboye Duke, the group applauded the governor for the projects embarked upon since assumption of duties in the state in less than a year.

According to the group, Governor Fubara’s recent inclusion of the Trans-Kalabari Road in the 2024 budget is a significant stride towards infrastructural development, showcasing a vision for improved connectivity within the state.

Duke said, “Furthermore, the Governor’s dedication to continuing unfinished projects from previous administrations reflects a commitment to building on the foundations laid by his predecessors, ensuring that the state’s development remains uninterrupted.

“In line with the vision of the Kalabari True Patriots, Governor Fubara has demonstrated a proactive approach to youth engagement, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

“The group commends the Governor for actively involving the youth in his government, recognizing their vital role in shaping the future of Rivers State.

“As a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, Governor Fubara’s decision to provide a one hundred thousand naira Christmas bonus to all civil servants in the state is a testament to his commitment to the well-being of the workforce.

“The Kalabari True Patriots applaud Governor Fubara for adhering to the 8-point peace agreement signed at the presidency, underscoring the importance of stability and harmony in the region.

“That mere gesture proves beyond reasonable doubt that the overall interest and development of the Rivers people supercedes whatever squabbles he has with anyone and this is a great sign of a true leader.

“We cannot get tired of thanking his Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding us worthy and Worthy creating time despite his tight schedule to address issues in Rivers State.

“We also recognise the critical roles played by Rt.Hon.Edison Ehie and Rt. Hon. Martin’s Amaewhule for their drive of understanding towards bringing peace into the state.

“The Kalabari True Patriots, a socio-political group founded in 2017 by a group of like minds of 10 persons each from Asalga, Delga and Akulga local government area of Rivers State with the sole aim of promoting peace and progress in Rivers State as well fostering positive change and inclusivity for the betterment of the state and its residents while expressing gratitude to Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his transformative leadership, dedication to peace, and commitment to the overall progress of Rivers State is however calling on his excellency to sustain the good work by intensifying efforts geared towards ensuring that Rivers state is not only peaceful but a hub for thriving socioeconomic activities.

“We further call on the governor to operate an all inclusive government and open his doors to contributions from every resident irrespective of their age or social class. Rivers state is endowed with so many potentials and we are confident in Governor Fubara’s ability to tap and utilise these potentials for the overall benefit of the Rivers people and Nigeria in general.

“For all supporters, let’s sheathe our sword and not create panic, but rather Support His Exellency, Ama-Opusenibo. Sir Siminialayi Joseph Fubara.Gssrs with ideas that will move Rivers State forward,” they said.
