Management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has appointed Mr. Hammed Olugbenga Adams as acting bursar, following the completion of the tenure of the 2nd substantive bursar, Mr. Bolarinwa Feruke.

A release by the university’s public relations officer, Ademola Adesoji, disclosed that Adam’s appointment was approved by the pro chancellor and chairman of council, Professor ‘Wale Oladipo, on behalf of the apex decision-making body of the university.

He said though the university had set in motion a process for the appointment of a substantive bursar, the tenure of Feruke expired, hence the need for an acting bursar to prevent a vacuum.

“The public and university community would recall that the university had earlier advertised the positions of the registrar, bursar and librarian on Monday, 27th November, 2023, however, the tenure of Mr. Bolarinwa Feruke expired before the completion of the selection process, which necessitated the appointment of an acting bursar to prevent a lacuna.

“The new acting bursar, grew through the ranks and became Deputy Bursar on Oct 1, 2022. He would serve acting capacity as pending the completion of the selection process for the 3rd substantive bursar of the university,” Adesoji added.
