The United States Embassy in Nigeria has honoured five Nigerian content creators for their exceptional submissions in the ‘Made in America, Loved in Nigeria’ video contest.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday in Abuja at an event organised by the US Consulate, aimed at celebrating creativity while reinforcing cultural and economic cooperation between Nigeria and the United States.

Those recognised at the event included Rasheedat Fagbenle, who clinched the grand prize, as well as Tito Abumere, Janefrancis Odinkemma Ugwu from Abuja, Cyril Usheshe from Cross River State, and Timileyin Durotoye from Osun State.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Country Public Diplomacy Counsellor at the US Embassy in Abuja, Lee McManis, explained that the initiative was created to foster stronger economic and cultural connections between both countries.

He reiterated the United States’ dedication to sustaining and expanding its economic partnership with Nigeria, noting that more than 100 major American companies currently operate within the country.

He added that this growing relationship continues to deliver shared gains to both nations.
