The ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker was discovered wandering Ventura Boulevard around 5:30am dressed only in his underwear and cowboy boots.

According to eyewitness accounts, the 26-year-old singer was behaving erratically. He was seen balancing a traffic cone on his head while making cryptic statements like, “Don’t be late to the party”.

Alarmed bystanders contacted the police. Upon their arrival, the situation escalated.

Police spokesperson Charles Miller alleged that the singer “charged” at the officers and struck one, leading to his arrest on suspicion of misdemeanour battery.

Miller disclosed that Lil Nas X was first transported to a hospital for evaluation amid fears of a possible drug overdose, after which he was discharged and taken to Valley Jail in Van Nuys.

The incident came a few months after the singer announced that he was hospitalised due to partial paralysis on the right side of his face.
