Gombe State governor and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has implored citizens of the state to arm themselves with their permanent voter cards (PVCs) in order to give the opposition a crushing defeat in the forthcoming general polls.

The APC square in Gombe was full to the brim with jubilant supporters and well-wishers as the governor ramped up the campaign for all APC candidates ahead of the 2023 general election.

Addressing the crowd, Governor Inuwa explained that the APC administration at both state and national levels has performed unprecedentedly, especially in the areas of infrastructure, education, agriculture, security and other critical sectors that will boost the economy and provide sustainable development.

He told the multitude of jubilant crowds that his administration has performed well in expanding the social and economic frontiers of Gombe State, exploiting the state’s comparative advantage and competitiveness, thereby putting it on the track of sustainable growth.

On human capital development, the governor said his administration has advanced the economic fortunes of many young people in the state through appointment of development facilitators, training of hundreds of youths under Gombe State Security, Traffic and Environmental Corps, GosTEC Programme, At Risk Children, provision of empowerment materials among others, all geared towards broadening human capital resources of the state.
