The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, on Thursday, inspected security deployments at different Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Abuja, as candidates commenced the the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, and published on the command’s verified Facebook page.

The inspection, carried out on April 16, formed part of efforts by the command to ensure a smooth and hitch-free conduct of the examinations scheduled to run from April 16 to 18, 2026.

“During the exercise, Sanusi assessed the security arrangements put in place at various centres to safeguard candidates, examination officials, and facilities. He also engaged with centre supervisors, assuring them of adequate security coverage throughout the examination period,” the statement read.

According to him, the command remained committed to maintaining law and order, warning that any attempt to disrupt the examination process “will be met with decisive action in accordance with the law.”
