Uzodinma Signs N474bn Appropriation Bill Into Law

Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma has signed into law the state’s 2023 appropriation bill.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba made this known in a statement made available to newsmen.

According to the commissioner, the budget of N474 billion was christened the “Budget of Wealth Creation and Expansion.” 

He stressed that it has a capital expenditure of N373 billion which represents about 78 percent of the budget while the rest is for recurrent expenditure.

Hon Emelumba revealed that the leadership of the State House of Assembly and some members of the executive council were present during the ceremony.

 While signing the bill into law, Uzodinma commended the state assembly for the speedy passage of the bill, stressing that it would help ensure rapid development of the state.
