Preparations are in top gear to mark this year’s Valentine’s Day, known as Lovers’ Day.
Hotels and hospitality outfits have already mapped out programs to celebrate the event, which holds annually on the 14th of February.
But it’s not only lovers and couples that are celebrating on that day; a sterling philanthropic outfit, Queen Blessing Foundation, is also set to care for widows and aged women at Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, on Valentine’s Day, this year.
The event, held annually and held in specially designed venues, was conceived by Amb (Dr) Queen Blessing Ebigieson, the national president of the Association of Movie Producers.
In a message posted on her social media page, she said, “Join us to celebrate the most vulnerable people in our society, the widows and aged women, as Queen Blessing Foundation host a thousand widows and aged women in Lafia, Nasarawa state on Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2026.”
The theme for the 13th Queen Blessing Foundation empowerment is ‘Celebrating The Vulnerable Women And Aged Women In Our Society’.
For years, Queen Blessing Ebigieson has continued to support widows alone. over the country, travelling to different states and cities, and working with the hosts.
Next Saturday, the palace of the Emir of Lafia in Nasarawa State will host scores of widows as she and her team put smiles on their faces.
Love indeed makes the world go round.
