Hung made the request at separate meetings with the Umuahia, and the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, in Umuahia, the state capital, and Aba respectively.

He engaged the chambers to identify areas of collaboration between them and his country, stressing the commitment of his county to fostering strong bilateral relationships with the state.

The diplomat, who said he hoped for fruitful dialogue from the meetings, noted that “We think that we can work together in order to increase productivity, quality, quantity, and the value chains.”

He encouraged members of various business communities in the state to seize the opportunity of the relationship to visit his country during business expos and exhibitions.

In a comment, the commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Kingsley Nwokocha said he expects a future fruitful business collaboration between  Vietnam and the state

Similarly, his Industry and SMEs colleague, Mike Akpara, urged Hung to attract entrepreneurs from his country to resuscitate moribund industries in the state including Aba Textile Mills Ltd.

In their respective remarks, the presidents of Umuahia Chamber, Chidi Aruoma, and his Aba Chamber counterpart, Geoffrey Uzoagbara said they are satisfied with their celebrations.
