Vvinchy Reshaping Diaspora Afrobeats With New Single ‘Overdose’

Ndubuisi Vincent, popularly known as Vvinchy, a talented and versatile afro-pop Artist , born on July 9, 1998 and graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has said that the story from the streets of Lagos to The Netherlands was quietly reshaping diaspora Afrobeats artistes.

VVinchy said that his misic isn’t about chasing viral trends, but to build a catalogue, a presence, and a legacy that reflects both his African roots and global exposure.

According to him, operating in that in-between space, neither fully home, nor fully abroad, has found a voice that is unmistakably his own.

The Afrobeats star said that every track was crafted with intention, balancing rhythm, melody, and emotional depth.

“The result shows that music that grows on listeners, builds loyalty, and stands the test of replay.

“As a Nigerian-born Afrosound artiste based in The Netherlands, steadily growing a catalogue defined by mood-driven production, controlled delivery, and strong replay value.

“My music reflects a cross-border identity, rooted in African rhythm but informed by international experience.

 

“As of 2026, with 300,000+ cumulative streams across key releases, and 3,000+ monthly listeners on Spotify.

 

“I am an emerging artiste with measurable traction, growing international appeal, and a catalogue that is both consistent and versatile,” he said.

VVINCHY added that his music was a catalogue which demonstrated consistent listener engagement, highlighting both breadth and depth of Afrobeats.

 

“We contribute to overarching identity as a serious, developing artist which operates in contemporary Afrobeats, but favours mid-tempo, mood-heavy productions over fast-paced commercial formulas.

 

 

He said that the key features of his music, was based on emotionally-driven that focus his listener experience over trend alignment, ensuring sustained engagement and gradual organic growth.

 

Vvinchy noted that he maintained a cohesive visual brand that complements his sound: Minimalist, mood-driven aesthetics and efficient performance-focused.

 

Vvinchy said that he has developed a body of work that reflects progression in sound, consistency in releases, and a growing listener engagement across platforms.

 

“Notable tracks like Therapy and Rematch demonstrated my strongest audience response so far, while records such as Balance and Heaven show range within my sound,” he said.

 

The Afrobeats star said that his catalogue functions as a foundation for long-term positioning, rather than short-term visibility.
